Dr. Sharie Scott, MA., LPC, CCTP

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC; Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Certification; and a Texas-certified educator. I proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. During my military career, I gained a wealth of knowledge working with sailors and their families suffering from addictions, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. My military experience, coupled with 9 years of service in the public education system, has exposed me to the family unit's devastating struggles. Therefore, my passion is building collaborative counseling relationships to restore and strengthen this vital network.

My theoretical orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Based Therapy (SFBT).  Both approaches focus on solutions to empower individuals to improve their quality of life.  The human mind is extremely complex.  Therefore, an eclectic approach is often needed.  CBT and SFBT are approaches that are ideal for integrating with other approaches as needed. My mission is to provide a safe, judgmental-free, supportive environment where individuals can heal.

My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, Master of Arts in Special Education from Phoenix University, Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling (Marriage and Family) from Liberty University, and Educational Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University.

“Knowing how hard it is to start with a new therapist and the possibility for going through several professionals before finding the “right fit” with the right therapist, I was EXTREMELY blessed to have Sharie Scott as mine from the start! Even though our interactions were all virtual due to the pandemic, I still felt the unwavering support, safety, and nonjudgmental atmosphere during my sessions; while still keeping me accountable.
She quickly picked up on my way of thinking and gave me tools to help express & learn more about myself. She truly cares about her clients as people and it shows in the passion and gift she has in her work.
Therapy is the hardest, but most rewarding gift you can give yourself (and others!).
I am forever thankful! I honestly recommend Sharie and Hope Seed to anyone I can! “
